Established in 1977, Lorbec Metals Ltd. is
a privately held company specialized in the recycling, trading
and processing of all grades of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap
metal. Lorbec is a proud member of both C.A.R.I. (Canadian
Association of Recycling Industries) and I.S.R.I. (Institute
of Scrap Recycling Industries)
Suppliers
Our suppliers range from small manufacturing
companies to multinational corporations particularly the automotive
and aerospace sectors, selling unusable post manufacturing
scrap metal materials. We also receive material from local
scrap dealers and “peddlers.”
Customers
Our customers include primary and secondary
metal producers across North America, Europe and Asia. From
smelters to mills to foundries, our product can be packaged
to fit any specification.

Lorbec currently has operating facilities
in 5 separate locations: St-Hubert and Laval, Quebec, Canada;
Massena, New York, U.S.A.; Flint and Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.
St-Hubert, Quebec
Our St-Hubert plant
servicing the greater Montreal area, southern province
of Quebec and the New England states, is able to provide
recuperation service to any size of industrial plant
while also providing a scrap metal receiving yard for
retail customers. |

With state of the art equipment Lorbec is
able to collect, sort and process all forms of scrap metal
both ferrous and non-ferrous in order to provide consumers
i.e.: foundries, mills and smelters, with the best possible
package for re-melting.
Flint, Michigan
In 1992 Lorbec added another plant in Flint, Michigan in
order to service the Detroit area and mid western U.S.A.

This modern plant
also provides a full range of recuperation and processing
services to both industrial accounts and retail customers.

Massena,
New York
1995 saw the addition of another recuperation
and processing plant in Massena, New York servicing
north western N.Y. state and south western Ontario.
This plant provides Lorbec with the added feature of
a furnace for melting purposes. |

(FPR) Lafayette Recycling
| A retail scrap yard was added to the Lorbec
Metal family in 2003. This recuperation centre in central
Detroit, Michigan will service primarily retail customers
and provide a source of supply for Lorbec Metals production. |

Noral Alloys Inc.
| Lorbec now has a foundry operation in Laval,
Quebec. It is a secondary aluminum foundry producing aluminum
ingot to specification and “deox” aluminum
totaling 50 million pounds per annum. This modern facility
will greatly enhance Lorbec Metal’s overall chain
of recycling. |
